Here is a step-by-step guide to healthier skin during menopause.

Is your skin sagging because of aging? Are you sick of using products that don’t work? Do I sound like an infomercial on TV? If so then let me tone it down a little bit, but hey! In today’s blog, I will walk you through a perfect skincare routine for your menopausal skin. Skincare during menopause is important to keep your skin hydrated, cleansed, and protected. Most problems that occur during menopause like itchy skin, wrinkles, dryness are all due to unkept skin routines. So here is my mantra to glow when there is no flow.

Step 1 – Cleanse

Use gentle cleaners with chamomile, rosemary extracts to remove impurities from the skin. A gentle cleanser wouldn't steal the skin's moisture which is already less during menopause.

Step 2 – Exfoliate

A good exfoliator with glycolic acid or lactic acid or even both can take away all the impurities from the skin. It also helps the skin breathe.

Step 3 – Day and Night Creams

Day Creams -

Depending on your skin type, pick products that suit your skin. For oily and combination skin is it good to use Vitamin C serum to plump your skin and fight any free radicals. For dry skin, hyaluronic acid is an excellent moisturizer, Pureauty Naturals Age Defying Complex contains Hyaluronic Acid along with Retinoid to keep your skin hydrated and even reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Night Creams

In the night, serum or cream that can help tighten pores may help the skin appear younger and plumper. The Pureauty Naturals Night Cream contains natural ingredients like peony root extract. Studies have shown that Peony Root Extract is a natural antioxidant known to help boost skin clarity and reduce pigmentation. It also contains lavender oil to keep the skin hydrated and Vitamin C to give it an extra collagen boost.

Step 4 – Wear Sunscreen

I can’t be more specific than the fact that Sunscreen is the answer to all your skin problems. Studies have shown that during menopause, skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles when exposed to the sun for long hours, hence wear sunscreen.

Step 5 – Skincare Tips

  • Pamper Yourself - A good facial massage is always good to improve the blood circulation around the face. Make monthly runs to the salon to get your favourite facial or use the Giada Rose Quartz Face Roller to increase the blood circulation to the face and give yourself a spa-like glow.

  • Use Silica - Silica is important for the maintenance of skin elasticity. Studies have shown that the use of silica topically and orally, significantly improves the elasticity, texture, and hydration of the skin reducing the visible signs of aging. The Adler Cream Gel No. 11 is a Vegan Cream giving the ‘Silica’ Boost we need during menopause and when taken in combination with the Bioglan Beauty Protein it works in perfect sync for the perfect skin. Bioglan Beauty Protein contains Silica along with Vitamin C, Biotin, and Hyaluronic Acid working to make your skin flawless inside and outside.

Before I go, I would like to emphasize that it's important you follow a skincare routine with the best suitable products for your needs to give you the best results. Always meet a Dermatologist before introducing a new skincare product in your routine. Always remember to keep smiling, because a smile is a curve that straightens out everything, even Menopause.
