VITABALANS Ferrodan Fe2+ Iron and Vitamin C Tablet, Made in Finland - 60 Tablets

VITABALANS Ferrodan Fe2+ Iron and Vitamin C Tablet, 100 mg is a slow-release tablet with iron and vitamin C. Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron. Iron and Vitamin C Tablet releases iron for six hours in the gut. Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron. A source of iron, ferrous(II) bis-glycinate is a chelate of Iron and glycine amino acid from which Iron is well absorbed and has high bioavailability in the body. In addition, ferrous(II) bis-glycinate is well tolerated and non-irritating in the stomach and gut causing much fewer adverse effects, unlike other iron compounds.

Iron is essential in the formation of normal red blood cells and hemoglobin. Lack of Iron leads to low hemoglobin and can cause tiredness and fatigue, pale face, and dizziness. The best sources of iron in the diet are meat and fish food with vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin C. Iron intake from the diet is adequate in men but in many women, the intake is constantly insufficient.

A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
